A few days late and couple dollars short
So the season premiere of Mad Men was a let down for me. And I will tell you why: over hype/over saturation in the media. It was a smart strategy for them to release it when it is literally the only thing on television worth watching, so every single piece of media covered it, but it killed it for me. All the hype made me think I was getting something I wasn’t. It is a quiet show that sneaks up on you, that’s why I like it. They shouldn’t have hyped it like it was The Sopranos. Good if more people watch, annoying that the cast and creator or some damn pleased with themselves. Faloonaville is sick of it. But we love Joan!
